Easy Eats Design

 Easy Eats

Project Overview:

Easy Eats is a recipe app that helps individuals plan their meals using the ingredients they have at home. Easy Eats makes meal prep easier by simply inputting the ingredients you have at home on the app. This app aims to help individuals with busy schedules and those who do not have time to buy groceries.

My Role:

As a team, we performed user research, created user personas for our target audience, and created wireframes and prototypes in a 4- week sprint.

Design Process

I used a 5- stage Design Thinking model by the Institute of Design at Stanford. The design thinking process is the following:

Research Strategy

To understand our target audience, we conducted user interviews for users between the ages of 18-40 years. After conducting our interviews, we concluded that students often don’t have time to cook, so an app where they can input ingredients from their fridge makes it easier for them to meal prep. Other individuals that would find this app helpful were working parents and young adults.

Wireframes

After figuring out our target audience, we created lo-fi sketches for our app and the features we hoped to include.

Paper Prototype

We also created paper prototypes for our app so that we could have a physical view of how our app would look before creating high-fidelity prototypes.
